First up – Guernsey Chess Federation & Club
In January, an 8-week beginner chess course took place, attracting the organizer’s planned capacity of 12 participants and also generating a waiting list. The course successfully concluded with 8 dedicated attendees—6 adults and 2 teenagers.
Throughout the course, participants mastered fundamental chess concepts, including piece movement, checkmating, and basic tactics. The positive feedback received has sparked plans for another beginner course and an advanced-level course in the near future.
